In cities with a Chinatown, weekend mornings bring dim sum carts or order sheets, and lines form early at the most popular spots in Peoria; walk-ins are standard and reservations are uncommon outside large banquet restaurants. Regional labels matter: Cantonese, Sichuan, Hunan, Shanghainese and Taiwanese kitchens cook very differently, so a restaurant's stated region is a better guide to the food than the word "Chinese" alone. Some smaller restaurants in Illinois are BYOB with no corkage fee; call ahead to confirm. A tip of 15-20% is customary for table service but not expected at counter-order takeout. Spice level, MSG and allergen questions are normal to ask before ordering, and most kitchens are happy to leave an ingredient out or tone down the heat if you mention it when ordering rather than after the food arrives.

The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. The most common schedule is 11 am–8 pm. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. For being texas style bbq, it didn't quit live up to it. Texas bbq proteins are commonly smoked with post oak. I had the ribs, pulled pork and brisket. I didn't taste any type of smoke on the brisket. It had a smoke ring around it but I could tell that it was definitely artificial. I thought I was eating a roast rather than brisket. The pulled pork was tender and not mushy. The ribs had were also tender and could pass a one bite test. The meat didn't fall off the bone and left the bone clean when bitten. I could see that the finish the proteins with salt. This made the taste way to salty. With every bite, I felt like I was getting dehydrated. In my opinion, the proteins would be better without finishing it with salt before sending it out. If you go to this place, try to request that they don't add the salt. Sorry I'm repeating myself but the salt was way too much. As far as the sides, they were ok. The employee were professional and friendly and the atmosphere was nice and clean. I will definitely come back to this restaurant but I will request no salt added.

Everything was great. Not too much smoke and seasoned to perfection. Only negative would be the corn bread crumbled in your hand and was impossible to butter. First time there and will be back.

I had not been here in a minute, used to be my go to spot for brisket sandwich, never really liked the dining experience but a to go sandwich was the best. and it stilll IS!!! closet thing to texas you are going to get anywhere around Peoria or futher! overall still worth a trip to grab that brisket and a sweet tea, worth the cost.

We had not eaten here in years because my husband isn't really into BBQ food. I talked him into eating here and he loved it and he's ready to go back again. Very friendly owner.

We have eaten here several times. Sometimes the employees act like you are bothering them. Tonight my meal came with cornbread. I love their cornbread. Tonight the bottom of my cornbread was moldy which leads me to believe that they don't rotate product which leads me to state that I will never be back. I showed an employee and talked to two employees. The manager never showed his face. Very disappointed.
